Do I have to book my own transfers from Male International Airport (Velana International Airport) to the resort?

Once your booking is confirmed, we will take care of all domestic transfer arrangements for you. You don’t need to book these yourself.

What information do I need to provide in order to book my transfers?

You will need to provide your full name as on the passport, INTERNATIONAL arrival and departure flight number and dates.
All details shall be provided 72 hours prior to arrival at Maldives in order to arrange the best domestic flight connection for you.

Are transfer charges included in the room rates?

Transfer charges are not included in the room rate.  The transfer charge is an additional surcharge that must be booked and paid directly to the hotel.

What are the transfer fees and what do they include?

The domestic flight transfer charges are as mentioned below:

 

Adults ( 12 Years and Above) USD 350
Children (2-11 Years) USD 269
Infants (below 2 Years) USD 98

The price includes:
1. Round trip flight to Gan Airport from Male’ Airport, per person.
2. Round trip speedboat transfer between Gan Airport and South Palm Resort Maldives, per person.
3. All applicable taxes and charges

What are the transfer charges when I arrive directly at GAN INTERNATIONAL Airport?

What is the time schedule for domestic transfers?

There are 5 flights per day from Velana International Airport to GAN International Airport Below is the provisional flight schedule, which is subject to change.

What is the luggage allowance for domestic transfers?

The luggage allowance is:

Check-in baggage: 20 kg per person.
Hand Luggage: 5 kg per person.

Children below 2 years are not entitled for any luggage allowance.

Please be mindful of this before you start your journey.

Is there a charge for overweight baggage?

Yes, US$3 per KG.

How do I get from Male International Airport to the resort?

On your arrival at VELANA INTERNATIONAL Airport, you will have to take a 70-minute domestic flight to GAN INTERNATIONAL Airport followed by a 10-minute speed boat transfer to reach South Palm Resort Maldives.

What am I going to do at the airport while waiting for my domestic flight to GAN?

You will be granted access to the lounge with refreshments when waiting for your flight.

Does my room reservation require any guarantee?

All room reservations require a Credit Card guarantee.

What are the taxes and additional charges?

In addition to the room rate, these are the additional charges:

10% Service Charge
Thereafter 12 % T- GST
USD 6 per person per night as Green Tax

How many adults can stay in one villa?

All villa types excluding family villa: maximum occupancy is 3 adults or 2 adults and 2 children.

Family Villa Total occupancy of 6 People or 4 People and 2 Children.

Do you have age restrictions for your Overwater Villas?

We do not have any age restriction for any of our room categories.

Are king-sized beds available in your villas?

All rooms consist of 1 king sized bed, except for twin bed rooms.

Does your rooms have Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is available on all rooms and public areas.

Are safe deposit boxes available in the rooms?

All rooms have a safe box.

Do you have smoking rooms?

All our villas are non-smoking. Smokers can enjoy the outdoor veranda of all rooms at their leisure.

What are your standard check-in and check-out times?

Check In: 14:00hrs
Check Out: 12:00hrs

Early Check-in and late Check-out is subject to availability at the time.

Do you have a pet policy?

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at our property.

What proof of identification do I need to provide at check-in?

Your passport and reservation voucher.

You have Full Board and All-Inclusive options available. What is the difference?

Full Board rates offer you breakfast, lunch and dinner at Banyan Restaurant. The all-inclusive meal plan offers you a selection of beers, wines, liquors and cocktails, plus other various activities and discounts from our A la’ Carte outlets as well.

Is vegetarian cuisine available in the restaurants?

All our outlets boast a vast selection of cuisines including vegetarian meals.

What time is In-Villa Dining service from?

In-Villa Dining is available 24 hrs.

What facilities do you have for children?

Our property is the proud host of the unique family village. Which consists of a Kid’s Park, various activities, our prodigious Family Villas which are all designed to cater to families traveling with kids.

We have a Jewelry Shop, Brand Shop, and Souvenir Shop where basic necessities are also available.

Can I book excursions at the resort?

Our guest relations team can help you organize a wide variety of excursions ranging from half-day to full-day trips, island tours and fishing trips.

Is there somewhere I can learn to scuba dive?

Our dive center is a 5-star dive center which conducts a wide array of underwater activities. Including discover scuba diving for beginners.

Do you have laundry services?

Laundry services are available, with washing and ironing services.

Are there any COVID-19 Safety procedure or precautions in place at the property?
